The Academic Student Choir Pedavoces was founded when the teacher education programs became university based in 1974. At the new polytechnic in Vaasa, today’s Faculty of Education, there was a demand for music activities, which prompted founder Per-Håkan Jansson to establish the choir.
The choir consists of singers representing nearly all of Vaasa’s universities and polytechs, as well as singers already in working life.
